Jaime Hayon (born 1974) is a Spanish artist whose work spans design, interiors, urban installations, sculpture, and painting. His style is defined by a distinctive use of shapes, colors, and recurring motifs, creating a visual language that is exuberant, bold, rigorous and refined.
Hayon’s work has been presented in solo exhibitions at museums, galleries, and fairs across Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, and Asia. In addition to his practice, Hayon has been a visiting lecturer at institutions such as ECAL in Lausanne, Domaine de Boisbuchet in Lessac, and the Lodz Design Festival in Poland.
Hayon’s focus on artisanal craftsmanship and experimentation has led to collaborations with a variety of clients, including important traditional manufacturers and leading contemporary design brands. Through these partnerships, he has produced furniture and lighting collections that reflect his interest in conceiving innovative design whilst at the same time preserving traditional craft techniques.
Hayon’s work has been widely published, and he has received recognition for his contributions to the field. Time magazine named him among the 100 most influential designers, and Wallpaper magazine has featured him as a key figure in contemporary design.
With studios in Spain and Italy, Hayon’s projects include books, exhibitions, and collaborations. He has been awarded Spain’s National Design Award, along with other international distinctions, reflecting his role within the wider art and design community.
