Samy Rio studied woodwork for four years before joining the National School of Industrial Design in Paris where he began studying industrial design for five years. These two formations enable him to work together with industry and crafts methods, which he perceives as complementary and indispensable to each other. He graduated from Ensci les Ateliers in October 2014 with the congratulations of the jury thanks to a research project about the industrialization of bamboo tubes.
