Bruno Gatta
Bruno Gatta founded the Stilnovo publishing house in 1946 in Lainate, an industrial suburb of Milan.
Despite its small scale, Stilnovo operated according to a true industrial logic from 1952-1955 – unlike other Italian brands, such as Arredoluce and O’Luce. Experimentation with new materials and shapes is at the heart of its production method.
Until the second half of the 1960s, most of the designs were made by the company’s technical office – then headed by Gaetano Scolari – and bore the brand’s signature...
