Currently on view at the Centre Pompidou until September 2024 is the exhibition 'Ronan Bouroullec: Resonance'. This beautiful and delicate display is part of the museum's revamped presentation of its permanent collection across Levels 4 and 5. The exhibition showcases around thirty works by Ronan Bouroullec, now part of the Musée national d’Art Moderne’s collection.
Ronan Bouroullec's work is rooted in a creative practice where artisanal and industrial expertise intersect. Celebrating materials and durability, his exploratory approach fosters a dialogue between mediums, colors, forms, and planes.
The exhibition features diverse bodies of work, including drawings, bas-reliefs, and garments from the Issey Miyake collection 'l'Homme Plissé'. It also includes three Tajimi vases from Bouroullec’s latest collection, presented at Galerie kreo in December 2023.

The drawings, which Ronan practices almost daily, are made with ink and Japanese brush pen on glossy paper, offering an intimate immersion into his work.
The bas-reliefs, standing halfway between painting and sculpture, drawing, and design, are composed of ceramic forms created and assembled by Bouroullec, and then placed on anodized aluminum plates.
The Fall/Winter 2024 collection from l’Homme Plissé Issey Miyake, titled 'Immersed in the Wilds of Creativity', incorporates Bouroullec’s drawings "not only as an artistic portfolio to admire but, above all, as a set of diverse materials to explore and use freely — the body of work acts as ingredients to incorporate into the design and manufacturing of the collection, forming a harmonious creative process."
Lastly, the Tajimi vases are assembled with tiles around a cylinder of glazed ceramic from Tajimi, Japan – renowned for its ceramic heritage. These vases exhibit simple geometric constructions, delicate hues, and an abstract aesthetic reminiscent of small totems or colorful miniature architectures.
