Biography
Michele de Lucchi was trained at the University of Florence which he graduated in 1975.
In 1973, he created the group of architecture and design Cavart originally radical design that laid the foundations of postmodernism.
In 1978 he worked for kartell in Milan and met Ettore Sottsass. Following this meeting, Michele De Lucchi will participate in the first exhibition of the Memphis group, which influenced the aesthetics of the 80s.
For the designer, modernity has meaning only in the consciousness of the past. Thus, for him, thinking that the design is «to live with the tradition of manual skills...
