His work has been featured in thematic exhibitions at VIA in Paris, Mudac in Lausanne, Grand-Hornu in Belgium, and the Museum of Art in Seoul. Among his accolades, Fastrez won the Grand Prix du Jury at Design Parade 6 in 2011, held at Villa Noailles in Hyères, for his projects Variations upon an Electric Kettle and Tomahawks Hair Dryer. In 2015, he received the Wallpaper Design Award for his Scarabée vase. His works are part of the permanent collections of the Centre Pompidou, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Villa Noailles in Hyères, and the CNAP (Comité National des Arts Plastiques).
Since 2012, Galerie kreo has produced several of Fastrez’s limited-edition works, including the Mask mirror collection, the Etna coffee tables, and the Egypt vases. His first solo exhibition at Galerie kreo, Vivarium, presented a series of furniture and objects inspired by wild animals, transforming the gallery into a symbolic vivarium.
In 2024, Fastrez unveiled his latest collection with Galerie kreo, Space Craft, which reflected his exploration of the narrative potential of objects and materials. The collection centred around a techno-futurist aesthetic, blending traditional techniques like straw marquetry with innovative materials such as Nextel paint. Rather than opposing different eras, the collection seeks to reconcile them, creating designs that resonate with the present moment.
