Biography
David Dubois is an independent designer and scenographer. He graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle (Paris) in 2003. He currently lives and works in Paris. He chose to develop his work in the areas of design and fashion and he alternates between research projects, self initiated projects, commissions and collaborations.
His design approach is characterized by an ongoing commitment to reinvent our everyday environment. David Dubois combines, recycles, adapts useful objects and unexpected items in a totally new way. His work, as the result of the continuous experimentations and associations of different materials with a particular attraction to textiles and flexibles materials, invites us to consider a new appropriation of the space...

Since the creation of his own studio – duboisproduct – in 2005, David Dubois works for brands, manufacturers, museums and galleries. He has notably collaborated with Bless, Issey Miyake, l’Herbe rouge, Christian Lacroix, Lalique, Kronenbourg, the Mudam, the Villa Noailles, the CIAV, the CIRVA and the Kadist Art Foundation. The Galerie kreo is just one of the designer’s editors. Others include Bless, FR66, gallery MICA, gallery Sémiose, Ilivetomorrow. The Galerie recently produced two pieces in limited edition : the « Intersection » mirror and the « K » desk. His works have been shown within several collective exhibitions at the Gallery, including: « Autour du cou » in 2012, « Only Wood » and « Convergences » in 2014.
David Dubois’ work is part of important permanent collections of the Grand-Hornu, the Villa Noailles, the Mudam, the FMAC (Fonds Municipal d’Art Contemporain), the FNAC (Fonds National d’Art Contemporain), and the Georges Pompidou Center.
David Dubois has been a design teacher at the ESAD (École Supérieure d’Art et de Design) of Reims since 2008.
