Virgil Abloh x Erwan Bouroullec
At once an architect, designer, artistic director of Louis Vuitton Homme and founder of the brand Off-White, Virgil Abloh perfectly encapsulates modern versatility. For Off-White’s spring 2020 collection, the American creator celebrated the connection between art and haute couture in a memorable collaboration with Erwan Bouroullec, borrowing patterns from his computer-generated artworks. Bouroullec's series of paintings translate the pixels of a chosen photograph into lines of colour. The resulting compositions are entirely abstract.
'Collaborations are very important to me, but I refer to them more as "conversations". If we have a good conversation, we can do something with it. This work with the Bouroullecs is a good example of that kind of practice' - Virgil Abloh

x
Alexander Mc Queen
This encounter between Studio Wieki Somers and Alexander McQueen occurred during Milan's Salone del Mobile in 2015.
For the occasion, Studio Wieki Somers placed three sculptural lamps from her Mitate collection alongside McQueen creations in the British couturier’s Milanese boutique. The storefront was transformed into an immersive window in which each object occupied a central position.

Pierre Charpin x Hermès
With his collaboration with the iconic luxury brand Hermès, the French designer Pierre Charpin brought his geometric and colourful visual language into the accessorial realm, transposing his drawings of coloured ribbons onto the famous ‘carrés Hermès’.
In keeping with Hermès' rich heritage, the pattern also incorporated the representation of a horse exploring the scarf's surface.
Jaime Hayon x ZARA
In his recent collaboration with Zara, Jaime Hayon introduced his colourful, urban, lively spirit into the patterns of his collection.
